Paul Kerins is a local photographer with international credentials. Paul began making photographs in the mid-1980s as a teenager. His first photographs were of landscapes before he progressed to photographing his friends and family. Paul assisted two well know photographers before opening his first studio in Vancouver at the age of 22.
After eight years of running a successful commercial photography studio in Vancouver, Paul packed his bags and moved to Europe at age 30 to work as an editorial photographer. Paul started in Paris, France living there for two years before moving to Milan, Italy where he lived for eight years, and then Hamburg, Germany for two years before coming home to Victoria, British Columbia.
Paul worked mainly in fashion, beauty and portrait photography during his career, and his photography has been published Europe-wide in many different fashion magazines, including Maxi in Germany, Men’s Health in Italy, Grazia in Italy, and Vogue in Italy, in which Paul was a regular contributor for several years during his time in Milan.
